Management and Science University Medical Centre (MSUMC) Shah Alam spearheaded the 2024 MSUMC GP Symposium.
This flagship programme was initiated to connect medical knowledge and optimal methods, aiming to enhance community health through partnerships among healthcare professionals. Carrying the theme Medico-Legal in Private Healthcare for Primary Care Doctor, the symposium took place at the Management Tower of Management and Science University (MSU), attended by medical practitioners of MSUMC and general practitioners.
MSUMC Founder Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid officiated the event, accompanied by Haji Zahri Abd Ghani, CEO of MSUMC; Professor Dr. Badrisyah Idris, Medical Director of MSUMC.
The guest speakers were Adlina Atikah Zainal Abidin, Civil Lawyer, Partner at Messrs Adam Abdullah & Mani; Dr. Mohamed Iqbal Hamzah, Director of Medical Practice Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia; and Dato Dr. Alzamani Mohamad Idrose, Consultant Emergency Physician, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, addressing the topics, respectively, What is the Risk of a Primary Care Doctor being Sued and its Implication; Medicolegal Update & Roles of Insurance Protection in Malaysia; and Social Media in Medical Practice. What is acceptable?
